ATAS

In Singlish, atas means "high class" - the word is derived fromt he malay word meaning "upstairs"

I don't like to go to all those atas places; surely spend money like siao!

All his friends damn atas one, you think they will go to that sort of low class place to eat?


Sleep Slut

One who sleeps frequently and is able to accumulate excess hours of sleep above beyond the mean. Sleep sluts are able to fall asleep indiscriminately and value sleep above all else.

Within minutes of boarding the commuter train Mark was fast asleep. Marks sleep slut powers were legendary in that he was always able to wake before his stop.


Singlish

2. Singapore's very own version of english. A much curt and impatient form of english for those that reside in this rat-raced cosmo city.

Example of a singlish term:"Don't talk cock lah you"
Talk Cock means to spew nonsense from one's mouth or to utter ridiculous contentions.

3. Singapore's English. A mixture of English with our local dialects.
skius: tellin' someone to give way. Short form of 'Excuse me'
