its just seems lk a blink of the eye that we're now facing our monday blues again. and this sat is the big day for the band! =)updated news: competition on the 12/4/08, sat will be held in the NATIONAL STADIUM!!! it starts at 4pm. every 2 yrs, the band prepares for the display band competition. and now, the school is taking part in the indoor. since its 1st acclamation in the indoor 2007, the school have been increasingly confident about the performance of the band. but do everyone know the difference in the indoor and outdoor in terms of student development? like what i've mentioned 2 entries back, ccas r meant for student's character development and another part of education outside the classroom. in the indoor times, u sit there n practice ur pieces. you make sure the band sound like one band and u know ur score so well, u know every note, symbol, etc on the score. if u cant hold ur breathes, you run to gain stamina, and build up the strength and capacity of your lungs. similar to the outdoor, you go through days of tiring practices in a week and it all seems lk endless days and nights. but what makes the outdoor different, is that its not only a test of the student's musical ability, but it is also a test of physical, character and mental strength. its perseverance that pushes you through the 8 minutes show. its friendship that make you encourage and push each other on the tough journey. its physical and musical strength that make you play, march and do gimmicks at the same time. its character that's pushing you through numerous practices in a week. and its commitment that let you go to every band practice and enjoy it. just simply compare the number of ppl that back out in the indoor and outdoor, and u will know which one is a tougher test of development and growth, and who r the ppl who can go through thick and thin to become better ppl. trust me. the outdoor competition can totally change your life. if you can overcome yourself and be that person on the field, you are successful. had a dream yest. when i woke up, it struck me that if the dead delivers a msg in our dreams, what about those alive? =) time to get back to work! and i pray that my interview tmr will be smooth sailing. ♥ shanjoo
